MES Consultant Job Description
As an MES Consultant at Leucine, you will lead and support Manufacturing Execution System implementation projects across the full lifecycle — from requirement gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. You’ll work closely with manufacturing, quality, IT, and engineering stakeholders at pharma and life sciences companies to drive digital transformation and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support MES implementation projects across the full lifecycle: requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, IT, and engineering stakeholders
- Analyze business processes and translate them into MES functional and technical requirements
- Configure and customize MES solutions based on client needs
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as GxP and FDA regulations
- Perform system integration with ERP, LIMS, and other enterprise systems
- Conduct user training, prepare documentation, and provide post-implementation support
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure minimal downtime
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and system optimization
MES Consultant Requirements & Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- 3–10 years of experience in MES implementation or consulting
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in pharma, biotech, or life sciences
- Hands-on experience with MES platforms
- Knowledge of system integration, including ERP/MES interfaces and APIs
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in digital transformation or Industry 4.0 initiatives
- Exposure to cloud-based MES solutions
